  • Knowledge of hygiene standards and food safety regulations
  • Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and long hours when required
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing needs

Qualifications and Experience

  • South African Citizen
  • Matric / Grade 12 Certificate
  • Computer Literacy (Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and kitchen management systems)
  • Previous Experience:
    • Minimum 3 years in a senior kitchen position
    • Experience in a 3-star or higher graded lodge or hotel
  • Purchasing and Stock Control:
    • Knowledge of food purchasing procedures, supplier relations, and inventory control
    • Understanding of cost control and wastage management
  • Driver’s License: Valid Code B (or higher) license
  • Own Transport: Preferable
